Michelle Obama Stuns in Sequin Versace Gown at the Final White House State Dinner

Michelle Obama must surely be the coolest, most eloquent and most stylish First Lady ever.

Last night she attended her final state dinner at the The White House and she did go out with a bang. Although a fan of bold prints and designers like Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane, Michelle, as diplomatic as ever, opted for a gown by Atelier Versace, one of Italy’s most beloved labels. And what a dress.

Heavily embellished in gold sequins, it was a sure show-stopper. We love the asymmetric neckline and draped waist too. Though it was custom made stylist have estimated it to have cost at least $12,000 (£10,000).

Mrs. Obama has a tradition of wearing dresses to state dinners by designers representing the nation being honoured.
