Nigerian designer, Style Temple recently released stunning images of their Spring/Summer 2017 collection called the “IT” collection.
The collection debuted at last month’s Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2016 and has so far received appraisals for its avant-garde and out of the box outlook.
Style Temple’s IT collection oozes class, style and modernity which according to the brand was inspired by some of the most influential women and “It” girls in the global and local fashion scenes such as Alexa Chung, Ngozi Adiche, Genevive Nnaji and Eku Edewor.
Creative designer at Style Temple, Og Okwonkwo said “IT” was an action word which describes the state of being and the process of become or blossoming into what she calls the “next season woman”
”An action word; it is being, it is becoming; it is blossoming into her next season woman who could be an accomplished author like Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche who has found peace in being beautiful, stylish and yet a trailblazer or a celebrated film star like Genevieve Nnaji who has broken barriers with her craft, stealth and grace, or just a woman fully blooming into a realization of her purpose and magnitude. ‘IT’ is a collection that is for every woman who is on a journey of being the best of herself, and because of that, she’s aware that dressing up and looking the part is as empowering as it is a part of her arsenal”.
The collection offers customers and fans of the brand pieces ranging from blouses, dresses, jumpsuits, skirts pants , frails, fringes, ruffles and faux fur in white, red, soft hues of pink, grey and lighter earth tones which are all tailored to perfection with a lot of exaggeration. The styling of the pieces for the lookbook remains one of the highest points of the collection for modern women.
